A Glorious Thanksgiving Day – Bill & Me – on Mount Soledad With View of La Jolla Coastline

For most of my adult life, I was an expat, living and loving in the Philippines. I called the beautiful island of Palawan home for almost 30 years, so I’ve posted essays, articles, and links about Philippine issues, Palawan sights and sites, and interesting nuggets I’ve found about that fascinating place. You can find tips on all the places locals love to eat, both well-known and off-the-beaten-track.

I’ve written two novels set on the island of Palawan and I’m working on a third one. You can find them on Amazon.

Most of those years my husband and I lived among one of the minority people groups here. In 2012 we finished translating the New Testament into the Palawano language, and the books are printed and are now in the hands of the Palawano people.

Interests include the plight of minority people groups, ecological issues, writing, reading, Asian cuisine and my three sweet grandkiddos. I love to walk with friends, swim, and snorkel. At the center of all is my relationship with Jesus Christ. My husband, Bill and I are both from San Diego, California. Our kids and their families are in Southern California, so our ties there remain strong.
